The OP is just starting out and has to learn the ropes. You don’t get a corner office with a view straight of school.

I'm 9 months into schnieder and let me tell you the dedicated side of Schneider is the brighter side of the company. I started at .42cpm with my account and just got pumped to .44cpm, I average 2600-2900 miles a week and home every weekend by Friday morning and off Saturday. I spent the first 8 months in a 2015 KW T680 10spd and just picked up the keys to a 0 mile 2020 Freightliner with a Power Inverter, Fridge, and Thermo King APU. This account being small everything is one on one and personal. If you aren't happy with OTR or not making the miles you want, perhaps you should try the dedicated side of things. So far I've got no complaints with Schneider, it's been a good run so far.

From my own personal experience as an exex employ the gave them a two week notice last month, I think Schneider is a terrible company. The recruiters flat-out lied and was very dishonest. I joined the bulk division last December fresh out of school. I was told that all the trucks have automatics, APU's, power inverters and you won't receive a truck no older than 3 years. Guess what I got? A 2014 Freightliner cascadia with 417000 miles, dirty as hell, smelled like cat piss and burnt rubber. Those recruiters will tell you whatever you need to hear to get you to sign the dotted line. I know we all know that recruiters lie do you get new drivers but Schneider is pretty bad.

I noticed I hope he talked about one of the bad things about the company is Miles. Why in the hell would you join the trucking company and stick with them if you're not getting any miles? Do you know how many times they left me stranded at operating centers and truck stops for days on in? Way too many times! They left me at Acropolis Pennsylvania operating Center for 6 days. It took 2 OSR's to raise hell with my DBL and her supervisor to get me going. The most miles I ever got with Schneider was 1200 miles. The worst one I ever got was driving from Atlanta to El Dorado Arkansas to a plant just to be told that it was a bad bill of lading number and told to turn around and go back to Shreveport Louisiana to drop off the trailer and then from there I was stuck at the tank Wash for three days just sitting there twiddling my thumbs. Their excuse every day was they were slow and blamed it on the weather.

When I had enough and I gave them a two week notice they told me don't even bother that I'm terminated. Didn't even allow me to clear out my truck. Was told that I could come backthat Monday to get everything out of the truck and instead they shipped everything to my house. Two packages never arrived and I ended up losing almost $2,500 worth of stuff out of my truck. Schneider is not taking any responsibility at all.

The company is full of ex drivers that are the ultimate brown-nosers from hell. They will snitch on each other and do whatever they can to climb up the ranks. I did have two trainers one from Houston and Savannah that told me to quit and said to use them as a referral for my future job. Those two plan on leaving the company real soon.

why anyone would come to Schneider baffles my mind. You're not going to get good miles, your check is going to be weak and you're going to be given a basic beat-up truck.

Did I mention it's against policy to have a power inverter in your truck if it's not been installed by the factory? That policy is strictly enforced. If you're caught with a power inverter in your truck you will be terminated immediately.

They're idle policy is pure garbage. It has to be 15 degrees or below or 75 degrees above to idle.

Their safety bonus program is a total joke. I always used my cruise control and went to every fuel route to keep those points up. I never got above two points.

All they do is promise if we keep our nose clean we might get a new Freightliner in the future if we want power inverters. I know a driver that's OTR drive and that's been with them 6 years that's been offered trainer position numerous times and he drives a 2015 Freightliner cascadia never been offered a new truck.

there's so many better options out there for people fresh out of school looking for a starter company. Don't believe the hype Schneider is pure trash

I would also like to note .. who in the hell pays a Tanker 42 cents a mile with every endorsement risking their life transporting hazardous materials? That's right... Schneider! They're an absolute joke. How in the hell can you make $72,000 for Schneider working as a tanker making $0.42 a mile. That's what the recruiters will tell you. They guaranteed fresh out of school after training you will get between 2500 to 3000 miles a week. That is an absolute lie

Goodness man 800 a week? I started witg SNI in 2004 and even then we started at roughly .36 cpm and was making 900+ a week in legit miles. They were a privately held company then and now that they’re publicly traded i can’t imagine them doing anything other than looking at the bottom line. Drivers’ pay be ######.

Do yourself a favor and shop around man. Lots of better smaller companies that pay much better.

Sure you wont have terminals everywhere and showers in terminals etc but if its money you’re out to make then you are def in the wrong place.

    Try prosportexpress.com
Or some others out there as such. New trucks pay starts at 55-60 cpm.

ok a 2015 , that truck is 4 years old, that is pretty new to me, it sounds like u aint cut out for this job and youblame it on the company rather than urself.. there should be no reason to sit for 6 day.. id have somebodys ### in the office, u have to stand up for urself out here because them ppl will walk all over you...they dont want power inverters in your truck because if they are not installed correctly you will iburn that truck to the ground.. their idle policy is used to save fuel...u shoudlve cleaned out ur truck before you quit thats just common sense... #### happens in trucking when it comes to miles and bad numbers and all that stuff but its part of the job,.. the problem is u didnt stand up for yourself , u need to call your dispatchers if they have u sitting for more than a day.. schnieder is to big of a company to have drivers sitting that long,

He said the truck was a 2014, not a 15. To me, it sounded like he raised some stink about sitting 6 days.

That would depend on previous drivers, maintenance, body damage, etc. Especially when the recruiter is selling the "all trucks are less than 3 years old" spiel. I've seen 2-3 YO trucks that were garbage.
