Be careful with Daves, it does not smell hot . Dip the tip of your finger to sample before putting it on anything .

Nephews Swear by Frank's. They put it on everything from their cornflakes to their girlfriends.
Lumper Humper and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
I like a bit of heat, but not "blow-your-face-off" hot.
Frank's original is good with me. We use it in our house to make hot wings, also.
Tabasco has a lot of fans, I don't like it. Of course, that may be because my Ma would pour it in my mouth if I was lipping off to her, or if I let a cuss word slip. By the time I was 11 years old, I learned how to get her in a wrist lock so she couldn't get the bottle near me. Unfortunately, that would piss her off, and escalate my punishment.
When I went to New Orleans years ago, Crystal Hot sauce was on the table in every little dive I ate at. I like it, still have a bottle kickin' around somewhere.
I'm game to try some of the sauces mentioned here, though.Crude Truckin', Dave_in_AZ and Muddydog79 Thank this. -
I like these. Available cheap at Walmart.

Tabasco is always with me. I carry a 12 oz bottle in the truck. And I keep a 12 in bottle at home. The small bottles dont last long enough.
homeskillet and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -

I've been hearing a lot about this stuff. Haven't tried it yet but will soon. It's an all natural superhot puree, no vinegar and no concentrates. The spice level I enjoy would pretty much kill a normal adult.
Made from Trinidad Scorpion, Caribbean Red, Carolina Reaper, Bhut Jolokia, and Red 7-Pot Peppers.

Arizona Gun Slinger is pretty darn hot. A teaspoon of that mixed in with a bottle of Stinger & Linger barbecue sauce is as close to living the dream as you'll get.
Crude Truckin' Thanks this. -
Texas Pete.
Famously made in Winston Salem NC... not Texas.
