Too few drivers take the cost of their medical into consideration when looking at a new job. They see what their gross pay is going to be and are shocked when they see the actual deductions for medical and other benefits.
If you have a company paying 100% of employee and dependents, that's a great deal. You can afford to take home a little less in pay for a great benefit like that.
How much do you pay for health insurance at your company? Is this good?

Pay $18 a week for.
Health $6k deductible.
Special policy covers any one incident or illness. Pays $10k flat sum to me.
Dental
Vision
Short term disability
Long term disability
I don’t want to see a doctor unless I have to. Otherwise.. they’d probably create the incident for my $10k policy to pay.RussianBearTruckeR Thanks this. -

Trust me. I tried to sue for Malpractice, but the lawyers all told me I was in one of the many states where physicians are protected and it's very difficult to prove the Malpractice, except in very obvious cases.
Mine wasn't so much the surgery, although that's where the initial problem occurred (a nicked/leaking bile duct).
Mine was the aftercare.
I had poison leaking into my abdomen for DAYS and I was sick as could be.
I kept telling them something was wrong, but they were saying, "No.. this is all normal".
It wasn't.RussianBearTruckeR Thanks this. -
Have you tried using this "free" health insurance? Might be interesting to find out what your co-pay or deductibles are. I was at a company that gave us darned good insurance for free, but this was 15 years ago, and that could be why they closed their doors... With the rising costs of healthcare, everyone pays these days, either up front (premiums) or after point of service (co-pay, deductible)
