Too few drivers take the cost of their medical into consideration when looking at a new job. They see what their gross pay is going to be and are shocked when they see the actual deductions for medical and other benefits.

If you have a company paying 100% of employee and dependents, that's a great deal. You can afford to take home a little less in pay for a great benefit like that.

You paid $3,500 for them to almost kill you. How much do they want to finish you off?

    Pay $18 a week for.
    Health $6k deductible.
Special policy covers any one incident or illness. Pays $10k flat sum to me.
    Dental
    Vision
    Short term disability
    Long term disability

I don’t want to see a doctor unless I have to. Otherwise.. they’d probably create the incident for my $10k policy to pay.

I pay 240 a month. Can’t tell if it’s good or not because I have not used it.

I work for central Oregon truck company. Gotta say they are a great company! Really friendly people work there they take care of their drivers. I mean orientation they fly you feed you. It’s beautiful in Redmond. I’m always moving it’s a flatbed company. I’m never and I mean never sitting around been working here for almost a year. Always getting 2800 to 3200 miles a week unless I go home. I put 150 dollars into 401k a week they add 50ish. Pay for all my health dental and vision insurance dosent cost me a dime. Everything the recruiter told me was the complete truth hell they pay you 100 bucks if they don’t dispatch you within an hour I never got that lol. Flatbed is awesome used to run reefer no more waiting 5 hours to get unloaded in and out 90% of the time. I have to tarp a lot but whatever making 1525 to 1750 a week gross after everything including 401k I’m netting 1100ish not bad in my opinion but idk I’ve only been driving for a bit over 2 years now. This place has nice trucks too 2 truck washes a month. Hometime is 5 days a month I just went home for 5 days I still netted 650 bucks go home on wensday leave Monday. Works out pretty well. Lot of long runs here too coast to coast type runs maybe a short 500 mile run to get to that 2k mile run is normal tho. I honestly have nothing bad to say bout these folks other than 65mph sucks

    Lol.
Trust me. I tried to sue for Malpractice, but the lawyers all told me I was in one of the many states where physicians are protected and it's very difficult to prove the Malpractice, except in very obvious cases.
Mine wasn't so much the surgery, although that's where the initial problem occurred (a nicked/leaking bile duct).
    Mine was the aftercare.
I had poison leaking into my abdomen for DAYS and I was sick as could be.
I kept telling them something was wrong, but they were saying, "No.. this is all normal".

    It wasn't.

Have you tried using this "free" health insurance? Might be interesting to find out what your co-pay or deductibles are. I was at a company that gave us darned good insurance for free, but this was 15 years ago, and that could be why they closed their doors... With the rising costs of healthcare, everyone pays these days, either up front (premiums) or after point of service (co-pay, deductible)

I hear nothing but good things about that company. I see their trucks on the road every day, and they're always clean, newer trucks and trailers.
