Hi guys! Need some advise. Got stuck in St Louis, MO. I ve got T 2000 with a little 120.000 after complete overhaul. Realised that oil went to coolant so stopped by Kenworth to get it fixed. After few days finally they let me go. GOT an oil cooler changed. SO started to drive and after just 2-5 miles the engine exploded. I have no idea what happened but trying to avoid all negative conclusions from Kenworth I got my truck towed to Cummins. After short examination Cummins guys told me that the problem was all about Kenwort's incorrect installation of that oil cooler but, as always, they need more time to work on the destroyed engine to make a final decision (which means much more money for me). But suggested to go straight to Kenworth since they must have all responsibility of the problem occured. I got my truck towed to Kenworth and of course, they are we're refusing all the responsibilities what they did. But guys, I did only few miles away from them up on a highway and I lost my truck. Any advise will be appreciated.

Did they write down you’re mileage on the paperwork?

A few days to do a oil cooler? Or couldn't they get you in the shop? Anyway Kenworth is gonna have to pony up on this one. You may have to get serious with them .

You need to contact the Regional Customer Service Manager or similar Kenworth Rep. I had a problem once with Detroit Diesel, Contacted Customer Service and after a lot of complaining, got approval on parts $2100.00. I paid labor $1700.00. Blown head gasket @ 540 k. Out of warranty @ 500 k. It’s worth a shot, anyway.

They're gonna argue because you didn't take it straight to them that Cummins did it. Ok, yeah they ####ed up but taking it somewhere else was the wrong move and it's going to be a bigger headache now

Go to a Cardinals game at Busch stadium while you’re stuck there.

Cummins didn't touch him. Just walked around. They couldn't get any conclusions, because there re no evidences what could cause the damage.

Yes it took 2 days to do that, because they made some damage removing oil cooler. One of the bolts was broken. Guess, it caused the engine damage.
