Kind of depends on what your tractor axles are rated. If they were rated 44/46,000 you're good to go fully loaded.

The steer is usually permitted at 12,000 unless you have a heavy axle. I've run just fine with 112,000 with a 3 axle RGN. I can't really say if 40,000 is enough. It's right on the edge of permits which will often allow you 20,000 for each axle. Light? No problem at all, I'd say.

Only thing to really be concerned about is disconnecting to load vehicles. I don't know about mechanical, but with a hydraulic neck you'll need to keep a 4x6 or 6x6 to bridge the frame and have either a pony motor or a wet kit for your truck.

When buying a permit, I have never been ask what my axles are rated for, just how many I had.

You won’t have any issues pulling a 2 axle rgn around with that truck. Make sure you put a decent set of frame ramps on though if it’s a mechanical neck.

    Tb0n3 Thanks this.

Thank you. I saw there are different sizes of ramps. Do i have to measure my frame or should i made some custom ones?
