Some truck stops are always packed from the crack of dawn till sun down. TA wheeling wv, Petro Atlanta, TA commerce city,co/ pilot of I 15 Salt Lake City,UT across from blue beacon. There is no reason for a truck stop to be packed 24/7/365 as is the case at the locations listed above and I’m sure there are others as well. Saying it’s because your in a major metro area is bs take that excuse and shove it. I have a message for all the permanent fixtures get out and don’t come back. Truck drivers don’t make money when they sit so don’t be a permanent fixture. I don’t have time to be I’m too busy trying to make money.

If your to busy making money, why are you commenting on the people who frequent the truck stops?

They may be locals who are home every night. I'm sure there are rest areas that you can stop for your 8/2 split, since your so busy trying to make money?

My point is, I guess, is who cares if we see the same truck in a spot for days/months on end. They're situation/route/local run is OBVIOUSLY different then ours...

So make the best of it and find a place to park or move on...

I comment in my free time which is when my clock is up. When I have hours I’m moving . I doubt every truck taking up valuable real estate at certain truck stops is out of hours like me. Also if their local park at your companies terminal, stop taking away spots from those in need.

The company I drive for has a few drivers that live in SLC... The terminal is 4 hours to the north. I know what id be doing if I lived in SLC.

When I ran the lower 48, it was not uncommon for me to sit at a truckstop for 2 or 3 days at a time, depending on where I was. I would rather sit and wait for something that paid a decent rate than just take anything offered, sometimes I would sit to put together an ltl load. Heck I was at Salt lake a couple of days, everything was cheap, told my wife, who was my dispatcher, don't book me anything for 7 days, and book it out of the vegas area, I'm out of here. lol I sat at Vegas for a week that time, except for one day, a driver wrecked his truck, so I dropped my step and took his trailer to Salt Lake for him.
I always thought about stretching my 9400, so I could haul a bike behind it, for the times I sat. lol

Stop being lazy and drive 4 hrs to your terminal there are other drivers who need that spot more than you.

You might be doing a 34 hr reset but what about everyone else taking up space.
