Front fan for climate control works on high setting only (number 4) if I back it off to 3, 2, or 1 the fan does not work at all. I was told the 379's had a resistor for fan settings does the 389 have the same ?
Second problem with the climate control is I either have full heat or no heat. If I rotate the thermostat dial back towards cool I lose all heat. Bunk seams to work just fine no issues there yet.
any thoughts ?
389 blower issue, front fan for climate control works on high only.

Might need to tag a few @spsauerland @pushbroom @Goodysnap sometimes it’s crickets back here.
Tall Mike Thanks this. -
Fix the blower first and see how the temp feels after repair.
Yes, the resistor is near the blower motor and a cheap swap. If still no go l pull the HVAC controller and look for melted pins/connector at the blower switch. If you find melted connections, it needs a blower motor plus repair the connections and or replace the switch.Last edited: Apr 15, 2019

When you pick up your resistor block might as well get a cabin air filter. Resistor is pretty easy to get to right behind glovebox.

It was on the back side of the blower motor if anybody else has a problem with it.
1/4 socket is what I used.
The old resistor looked a little worn !
Blower works fine on all settings now, thanks again for the help. -
I'm wondering if the temp actuator is causing my temp issues ?
Hate to just throw parts at it and hope for the best especially at Peterbilt prices. -
If you cycle cold to hot. Actuator should go from mark to mark. Pull it off and make sure the door moves. Dont try to force it with the blower on. The air flow will hold it closed with the actuator off.
