Thanks but I've tried for the last two years and can't put this off any longer. I might just give Western a chance. So far they've been pretty good. Recruiter very cool.

The ones that have to brag are the ones that are full of manure.

I used to work for them. They do not make you pay for your fuel. They have an “idle” policy and if you abuse it (ie, idle when it’s 60 degrees outside), then supposedly, they’ll charge you for going over the idle time. But, they never once charged me a dime. I always just told my DM I over idled (you can see idle time on the Qualcomm) and she took care of it.

Out the options you listed I’d say May is a notch or two above all of them. Getting along at May seems to depend on what terminal you run out of. I ran out of Pensacola and never had any issues.

But, yes, May Trucking as a whole is a crap hole. Their yards are pot hole filled, muddy dumps and their driver facilities are a joke. I made it a point to avoid them like the plague. Go in, fuel, swap trailers, whatever I was sent there for and beat it. I NEVER stayed. Lol

Yes, those are vehicular manslaughter, murder 2, and murder 1 respectively.

Even those are a far cry from an alleged “perpetrator” and a district attorney having different definitions on what constitutes self defense or an appropriate tool with which to defend one’s self.

haha well have to agree with you there. I would be based out of HQ. So Brooks. Yes, I remember the driver "facilities" were nothing but a square room with two bathrooms and a tin canopy for the smokers outside.

When I first started driving, I learned REAL QUICK that most of the people hanging out in the drivers lounge or sitting at the bar in the diner are obnoxious, blow hard, know-it-all types. I never stepped foot in one again after my first week or so.

All of the terminals operate sort of independently. I ran out of Pensacola and they are REAL laid back. You do your job well and you’ll get along great. They’re not as rigid about “policies”.

Brooks, OTOH, is the mother ship. All the Honchos are there so the DMs and other minions pretty much walk the straight and narrow. ;)
