I'm glad you get it. As a team driver I can tell you its hard to get a shower.
When i drive at night I can never find parking. During the day I have to interrupt my sleep if I want one.
Theres also the other driver you have to worry about. You might see an opportunity to grab a shower but the other guy disagrees and wont stop.
It gets to the point you dont press the issue because you dont want to listen to the whining and excuses. So you arrive 5 hours early and park on the side of the road and wait for no reason. LOL
We get paid more. But we don't have the luxury of making our own schedule, stopping for 10 hrs, etc. And the codriver politics... Thats what I call it.
We do have some good times, I dont mean to paint a complete bleak picture. Its just that it is harder to shower and do upkeep on yourself because you are always moving
The decline of drivers and slobs .

The only time I went several days without a shower was when I was in a war....literally. No way I would do it again, unless in a similar situation. Dang man, it's just gross and bad for your health and the ones around you who have to smell you.

I swear to God!
I'm not going to say where because I dont want to embarrass the guy but it was in Nebraska.
I stopped to do laundry and shower tonight...when I went in to get my clothes out of the dryer there is a guy doing his laundry wrapped in bed sheet sitting in the drivers lounge .
He was very nice and well groomed but my God how poorly must some of these people be payed when it comes to that ?
I offered him some money but he wouldn't take it .Humblepie Thanks this. -
