Hmm, L.A. container yard? Methinks perhaps one of those cars had something someone wasn't suppose to find,,,

Yeah seemed dubious. Metal container with metal cars and only one car intact inside? Very suspicious. Good way to get the feds to want to take a closer look. Also glad it didnt get loaded. It may have been the intent to go off out to sea.

Bud A. and JoeyJunk Thank this.

All I know, is I bet that drivers ears are still ringing. Took half the tractor out, must have been a pretty big charge.

    Bud A. Thanks this.

Whatever was in one of those cars probably heated up enough to possibly cause a flash fire(maybe to even cause vapors in the car’s fuel tank to ignite).

Bud A. and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Oh, IDK, pretty much udder destruction for just a couple car gas tanks. Besides, I believe you need a spark or flame to ignite gas, just a hot container won't do it, I don't think. This thing blew sky high, and the roof probably hasn't come down yet.

Well its the vapors that are more volatile than the fuel and the flashpoint of gasoline vapors is about 80 deg. give or take, unless something else was packed in one of those vehicles (lithium ion batteries maybe).

    JoeyJunk and 201 Thank this.

I heard it from probably five miles away. How that driver wasn't injured is a miracle.

Bud A., JoeyJunk, mjd4277 and 2 others Thank this.
