I received a ticket for window tint on a company truck in 5/2009. Gave all paperwork to dispatch, DOT inspection report and ticket for them to handle. They paid to have windows tinted, I removed tint at time of inspection so I could continue on my trip. On the ticket it stated I needed to appear in court on fine, I live and drive out of another state with no way to return when needed, even though I told company about this.
I haven't given it another thought, I've been DOT'd several times since. Had my MVR ran for insurance purposes nothing about the ticket has ever showed up.
I am now disabled, and hold a part time job that required a background ck. Now I'm in jeopardy of losing my job because I have a warrant out for this 10 yr old ticket.

Wow that is seriously a messed up situation , I'm sorry they did this to you.. I think your best bet would be to contact a lawyer and get their thoughts about this...

Contact a lawyer and tell him the company said they took care of it; now you find out they didn't.

Studebaker Hawk, x1Heavy and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

That's what I'm trying to do. It's a small 2 truck company but does big biz in the tire manufacturing industry. Same owners, dispatch and accountant are only two employees different.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

U should be able to call any traffic attorney since its a tint ticket... Any lawyer would be a good start , especially since u have a warrant out.. A cop pulls u over for anything and ur going to jail, take care of it asap

    Try "Ticket Clinic."
Also, @D.Tibbitt is right; it's a simple ticket for window tint; maybe Google for a traffic attorney in your area or the state where you got the ticket.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

How steep is the fine? Honestly if it’s $500 or less I’d just pay the #### thing and get it done with.

    They just want the money.
Pay it and it should go away.
    It's a bench warrant/FTA.

Call the magistrate in that county and speak nicely.
Explain the situation and ask how it can be most simply resolved.

    DO THAT RIGHT NOW
