Yeah. Clean out first and give two week notice like any other job. You want to leave but want to be in the "will rehire" category. Be prepared to run some shags, though. Your terminal manager may give you other options like taking some leave, extended hometime. Maybe offer 12/2, 5/2, or dedicated, regional account. That's been my experience. The $2000 driver referral bonus is in effect. They dont want to lose anybody.

 

Make sure when you turn in truck...somebody gives you a paper saying...interior of truck was clean..otherwise you will see a deduction for truck cleaning...on your final check

 

Yup, be prepared to totally detail the inside of your truck. It will be inspected.

 

Or pay the cleaning fee..but get the price first..no two terminals charge the same amount for cleaning

 

As they got to know me, I get mega runs. 1000+ going everywhere which is nice. It will be hard to leave because with all honesty they treat me good. Always on time, no crashes, no problems might be the reason why.

 

Anyone is Dallas tomorrow? I’ll be at the Crete terminal to do laundry and maybe work out on Saturday morning.

 

I was in Wilmer left there earlier this week heading to Virginia dropped already picking up in Virginia too then going to boulder,CO then hopefully going home

I’m in Dallas, dropped and hooked then dropped and hooked again. Dallas to Ohio. Working out in the AM but I’ll be there for Sunday night. 1100 mile run, not too bad.
Can’t wait to workout. I do something called Bikram yoga. 90 minutes in a 110 degree room. A very intense workout but you feel great afterwards.
2998 miles for the week... plus stop pay and short haul pay. Not too shabby.
