Shower scam?

So I’m coming off my last load going to Hometime and I figure I will fill up at the loves so I’m ready to run when we come out next time and there’s this guy by the door asking if we can spare a shower and since I’m feeling more generous than usual and I’m not going to use the credit since I’m a gold member I go ahead and get the shower and I hand him the slip. I tell him he needs to hurry because I think they time out and he said he was going to shower and then have his wife come shower while each babysit the dog in each other’s absence. While I am out side fueling I can hear the guy on the PA call and let the guy know the shower is ready three times so I’m thinking why isn’t this guy already showering? As we pull out to get on the highway I see the guy walking away from the Loves and now I’m thinking there might be some sort of a shower scam going on that I don’t know about. The only one I can think of is the guy got my shower slip and is walking around trying to sell it to somebody else for cash. Maybe he was just walking back to give the slip to his wife so she could shower first but then why wait for it to be called three times? I am married though so I know that women can be notoriously slow and maybe she wasn’t ready. I don’t know it just seems weird.
