Good fortunes, Indy! That $3.18 will be much needed with the rise in fuel prices. Factoring Landstar's 35% (for those of us so applied) and the fsc, only, some of my data shows we can lop $0.98 to $1.25 off the rpm to get a reasonable idea of what we'll have left to work with. Of note, Landstar appears to have authorized the agents to offer more than $0.35/mile fsc. $0.38/mile for the run I'm on (not bad since I'm projecting I'll spend about $0.42/mile.)
The run I just completed was $0.38/mile versus my projection of $0.36...numbers were fairly accurate as I fueled at 1/8th and delivered at just under 1/4th tank--used only the fsc $$$ (to compare).
(If you're savvy with Microsoft Excel, and since you also work the loadboard, if you're not already doing it, message me and I'll explain to you how to get a range of future loads into a spreadsheet for you to plan against. It's how I got that great stack of four loads, booked, all over $3/mile, BEFORE I had to cancel due to my turbo/dpf not being on the same page!
Landstar how the “ “ do you stop the Agents from calling you?Any advice on how to keep
