It would not be the first time a company closes in your face.
HOWEVER it's possible to read the signs.
Degrading maintenance.
Mutiny on the bounty inside the office.
Loss of big shippers.
Failure to purchase nickel and dime stuff for trucks.
Then failure to do outside work on the trucks.
Payroll starts making excuses. Paperwork problems etc. (You have documented and copied every aspect of your loads delivered, so mark the ones in your journals green with paid and check red when not paid. Confront the DM with the information taken to a t and nth degree and ask for a flat comcheck in that amount to get caught up in pay. The evidence is all there, copied BOL, and everything written down. And it is replicated in their computers.
Fuel issues. They start hounding you to fuel somewhere in Beirut for .10 less than general area average. All of a sudden the entire dispatch is very very very interested in that dime.
Your qualcomm explodes in nicky picky BS rah rah make work minion-speak about anything related to cost. WTF?
Loss of benefits in a downward spiral.
If you are not looking for work by now to abandon the USS Sunken Company you don't know trucking.
The absolute final warning sign?
Your dispatch has lost interest in the loads. You blew the appt time by two days caurosing in the strip bar and no one in the office cares. Or were replaced by new people without a clue transferred in from other closed divisons.Western flyer, Infosaur and bzinger Thank this. -
