Success ! After two months of procrastination I finally fixed my secondary air leak.
Only cost was for a new Range Cylinder cover gasket, $3.50
only about a one hour job. I even made a haphazard attempt at making a video of my experience.

    Finaly got the issue resolved
The truck has an air operated lubrication system for the rear end. The system kicks in at 35 mph . Apparently the system in my truck was never connected. When the truck would hit 35 the line would be charged and since it was not hooked up the air leak started . Pull over and stop... no leak. Thanks to all who offered advice.

Does that have the Detroit rear ends?
That's a good thing to know.
    Thanks for the update.

Not sure if it was the ALM valve. I do know all the air lines associated with it are purple.
