CFI is not as good a company as they think they are.

A friend of mine has several rental properties, he says he'll "burn them to the ground" before he will rent to anyone with "companion" animals.

 

Just a comment about dogs:

This country is overrun with dogs; They are allowed in hotel rooms now, as well as restaraunts and grocery stores. They are allowed in retail stores, parks, swimming pools, beaches, doctor’s offices, libraries, and gift shops.

All a dog owner needs to do is to fill out an online questionaire and application and then make a statement that their dog is a service animal, and then print out a ‘certificate’ on their printer.
Bang.... instant ‘service animal’.... accepted everywhere.

Great example; just go anywhere in any New England state such as Massachusetts. Dogs are literally everywhere. I just recently did some grocery shopping at a Trader Joes in Malden, Mass. People with dogs are roaming the aisles with their dogs. I mean right in the produce section. I complained to management and they looked at me like I was crazy; told me that there was nothing that they could do.
And then they scolded me, “You know sir, that IS a service animal”.

This type of dog worship, dog tolerance, and dog fanaticism is relatively new in this country; no way would you see this breakdown in regards to this type of health hazard up until about 10 or 15 years ago.

BTW, you’ll only find all these dogs crawling over everything, legally, in the United States...... and any third world country. No other industrialized country allows such unhygienic and unsanitary practices.

 

Your choice to stick it out at CFI for only 10 weeks is your choice.

You complain about $500, how much do think it costs to gut a truck interior and reupholster it? Even if you give the "but my dog would never pee or poop on the carpet" line, I'm sure CFI has heard it all and seen it all before.

Your choice to not do enough research on CFI before realizing they are subpar in your opinion, is your own fault. (And there are much worse companies than CFI out here , believe it or not.)

Your sense of entitlement because you choose to travel with an animal and expect society and your job to adapt to you is not only a trucking industry problem but a country wide problem.

I've been chewed up and spit out more than once in this industry, like most of us have. Pick up the pieces and find a pet friendly company that doesn't suck, if you can.

 

At least you get it, and don't expect special treatment. Some people don't get it and think society and employers need to cater to their life choices.

 

Definatly disgusting, i had no ides they were allowed everywhere like that, the more new stuff i learn it seems the more i just shake my head in disgust at what society has become !

Very well said, sir. Dogs are ANIMALS and are not entitled to the same rights and privileges as humans regardless of what some people think. Dogs are great companions but more and more people are using them as a crutch and these so called service animals provide what kind of service? Unless it's a seeing eye dog they do nothing different that I can tell. They still bark defiantly and eat their own poop so why are they in the grocery store? It's just an excuse to carry your animal into places where they shouldn't be. If you have to have your dog with you 24/7, ask yourself why.

 

Could have told you CFI is garbage I'm actually starting for a local farmer after getting canned from CFI on a weekend no less. Their camera system is a joke. The whole company is a joke

 

What was the reason they gave you for letting you go?
