I personally hope going percentage is optional. That wouldn't work for what I do.

You can turn on manual entry on it and type the number into the pump at TA/Petro and probably most of the other palces. Thats what I'm doing

A couple of things to understand about percentage.

    1. You will be getting the full percentage of what the rate is. You won't need to worry about skimming from the top and being cut. JCT, by law, will have to make original freight bills available to view upon request. They may require an appointment or such, but you can view them. No reputable company will skim as that will open them up to a law suit. So feel confident about getting your full cut.

    2. JCT will deal with contract freight as opposed to spot market freight. That means the freight JCT pulls will be an amount set forth by the contract and rates will not be affected by what happens, good or bad.

    3. The FSC will more than likely be different for each load/ customer. FSC is paid by the customer and nothing says they have to post 6a certain amount. You may see FSC pay $0.01/ mile up to $1.00/ mile. Do not get hung up on the fsc 4 rate.

    4. Deadhead pay works be gone, at least more than likely. Which leads to next bullet punt.

    5. 60% is less than industry average. Why are they going to offer such a low percentage? Are they going to continue paying deadhead? Even if they are, it's not a good deal as you'll only get the $1.05/ mile and give up 5%. Are they going to still pay for everything? Tolls, scales, cargo insurance, etc.? We'll see.

    6. The entire dynamic of your operation will change. You guys are currently chasing miles. Low miles = low pay. In the percentage game, you chase revenue. Do half your current miles for same pay.

It'll be interesting what they contr up with as a final offer.

Jarhed1964, Kamkor and MachoCyclone Thank this.

It's simple. A helluva lot more money for the same work, or less work.

In the email they sent that gives you access to the Fleet One manager, once you log in you'll see "Manage Cards" just select your card, and in the next screen should be a bullet for "Allow Hand Entry"
