I never said the rate was equal to the quality of work. I just can't find a low rate shop around me that's worth a #### - tried a bunch of them when I first started out. And most of the high dollar dealer shops aren't worth a pinch of #### either. I found one shop that does solid work and it just so happens they're on the high side of hourly rates. But I dont complain about it because they fix it right the first time. In 8 or 9 years time going to them I've never had to take my truck back for something to be fixed again that they ####ed up or half assed. But if I did have to back it back they do guarantee the work and parts. I usually need them about once or twice a year for something.

Did the ball bearing come out of the bell housing when you dropped the inspection cover?
That would of come out of the front of the transmission.
Transmission fluid is synthetic 50 wt in modern trucks. I don’t believe most could tell the difference unless they seen the bottle it came out of.mhyn and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Well the newest truck I've had is 03 and ran synthetic but not 50 wt. I guess your saying 50 wt doesn't smell like rear/tranny grease?

Yeah I have never kept an account anywhere. I always paid in full when the job was done. Apparently credit gets extended to a lot of o/o at these shops. You would think a customer that pays the bills prompt is someone they'd try to keep.

I know not only do I get a preferred rate by trucks get priority service even road call and after hours I pay my rate ....he earned my trust and business bit he'll his rack rate is only 99 an hour
