Here they want it under 30 minutes. Sounds long I know and when I was doing it I was just going into too much detail because I was paranoid I would miss something. They give you 3 days to get it right, so tomorrow is the final assessment. I’m sure I’ll pass I just need to talk a little faster lol.

    Sounds good T. Rucker!
Are they giving you any kind of a study guide for the pre trip?
The brake tests always get me since they always need to be done in an exact order.

They showed us how Walmart wants us to it and we could take notes on that, but they don’t hand out a study guide.

    How’s it going T.Rucker?
I’m assuming that your orientation is about over and you’re getting ready to begin driving.
How much is orientation pay, BTW?

Orientation is all done. Just waiting to catch a flight back home. Got some tornado/storm warnings so I’m hoping that doesn’t delay my travel plans.

Pretty stressful week. Just wanting to make sure I did my best and pass everything. Very happy to say that I am now a Walmart driver and I’m reporting to my DC on Monday. I’ll be riding with a mentor next week and then I’ll be solo.

Really enjoyed the onboarding process. Met a lot of great drivers, both current Walmart guys and fellow candidates.

If you come into this process willing to learn and grow as a driver you’ll do fine. Also, make sure you can drive a 10 speed. A lot of drivers had been driving automatics and had a tough time shifting.

Not sure how many hours they’re gonna pay for but I haven’t spent any of my own money this week. They feed you very well...plenty of food and they give you $$ for dinner every night.

I would recommend coming to onboarding first before moving to NY. Just in case lol. They give you 90 days after onboarding to move. One guy moved his family to a DC before onboarding and didn’t make it through...pretty devastating for him.

When are you headed out to Arkansas?

Thanks for your very well written information as well as your insight.
    Congratulations on your onboarding completion.
I am scheduled for orientation next week; but I still have one foot out the door at this point.
By this time next week I’ll have decided yay or nay.
    I’ll keep you posted....
