No they don't care in that regards. They touched on that in training. They even said they know a lot of stuff will limit you to a 1 year, basically it's a law... If you are on a CPAP machine, limit to 1 year. Certain meds, 1 year, certain history, 1 year, certain BMI (Body Mass Index) 1 year and most likely further testing like a sleep study may be required if your on the huge side. But they don't pay attention to that as Walmart. They only care that it is documented but as long as the Dr. Signs that DOT card, then your good as the Dr.s in their database (same as most company's database) is taking responsibility for lying in the consideration of you being fit enough to drive should they choose to do that, which most will not nowadays. When it comes to your question.... The only thing they are concerned about is if your on a 1 year due to some serious pain med like oxy, or Vicodin...

In regards to the 401K plan.
Are you 100% vested immediately or a sliding year scale?

Also I've just completed the online process, about 6 yrs ago I did same, and when contacted told them I decided to stay at current position.
Will that have any effect on my current application?
Looking to work 5 yrs and then collect my piece of the government cheese

 

yes all your benefits start day one. they match you up to the first 6% on 401k. make sure you get the life long package on the long term. you will get 60% of your gross from the past year until you retire. there are people on long term for years.

 

it doesnt matter always apply. i will say this. if you are every banned from any walmart property then you cant get hired. they check that list first.

Home every night save for 3-4 hotel layovers a month. Large cryogenic company.

That would be something the recruiter would answer, I had a period of 9 months off on disability in my last 3 years due to knee replacement surgery and thought that would affect my job history qualifications but she checked right away before the conversation went further, and then said I was fine. Anything you think that might hinder your qualifications ask straight out, and they'll tell you straight out.

 

Sorry I didn't follow you through the week, but I enjoyed your take on the onboarding event, I'm a skeptic so I can relate to your observations, I pretty much felt the same through out the week when I was there. This was my first week on my 5/2 5/3 program so no more switching trucks during the week, I'm a person that likes to keep moving and did so all week, it was nice, never sat anywhere except for my 10 hour break, loved it. 2 days were 600 mile days and the 3 others were 500 give or take a few, so it left little time to check in here through the week. Happy to hear you made it through, welcome aboard. At least at my DC they hired faster than their truck orders so truck assignments are a little rough for a little bit but I lucked into the program I wanted from day one last week so I'm happy. After almost 2 months I finally overheard my first negative driver conversation about the company, that's not bad at all, there's always going to be a few that are unhappy anywhere, the low percentage here for such a large company is rather impressive I think. I know I'm happy as hell.
