God people can be so stupid. Yesterday had to chase the girl off for smoking next to propane exchange area while I was next to it dropping fuel. Today same thing, dude was smoking next to kerosene pump while I was dumping fuel. Smdh

I got one for you. I was unloading at a station and the truck had to be right in front of the pumps and very close. I was standing there and these teenagers went to get gas. They were about 15feet from me and in an old pick-up where the gas tank was right behind the seat so the fill was right up there by the driver. The driver is sitting in the truck and his buddy starts to fill the pick-up. I hear the clicking and can not figure out what it is. I then see what it is and run and hit my emergency shut off and then walk over to these clowns. I guess I wasn't in the best of moods and yelled at them asking if they are crazy or just stupid. The clicking was from a stun gun and the driver was showing to his friend. The spark from the stun gun was only about a foot and a half from their fill point. This happened many years ago and vapor recovery wasn't as good as today. Needless to say they went on there way. I've had many cases just like this but this one sticks out. The best is where the manager stuck the tank and he could not see so he lights his lighter to see. He went to the hospital.

According to a safety man I spoke to a few weeks ago, insurance companies are going to require all fuel trucks to have cameras in the not-too-distant future.

I've been kicking around the idea of buying my own truck, just to avoid the "steering wheel holder" electronic babysitters, maybe it's time!

A Cox driver rolled their trailer this morning, not sure what happened. Bad look for Shell, wonder if they’re going to make everyone take the wraps off.

I’ve never seen a four axle pull trailer in CA. That’s the standard setup in the PNW with a fourth drop axle in the truck.
