One of the biggest issues I had with CRE was their training program. It is 1 week. They only teach you backing, Pretrip, and basic driving. Everything else is thrown onto your trainer after you pass your CDL test, who, like I said is probably 6 months out from having passed their CDL test too.

I had about 5 or 10 minutes total of street driving when they were going to test me for my CDL. It didn't seem safe to me, and if they're going to have me on the hook for 10 grand (which is what the charge for their driving school, you don't have to pay it if you complete your 1 year with them) then I want to have way better training than that.

Well, and also the constant lying to us everyday in the classroom. And they also supposedly stick incidents on you that you didn't do so it is hard to find employment outside of CR England, so as to keep you stuck with them.

no matter how bad the next one is I recommend you stick it out no less than 12 months and try aim 24. I hope you have better luck. job hoppers are bad you may be able get another or not depends on the employer and their insurance. I think Stevens, however, is self-insured, I know Stevens also have there owned docs keep this in mind I remember him well from Dallas area robodoc. I however could never recommend either company CR or Stevens transport, maybe swift transport be a better option I have never tried getting CDL through them, however, pride transport though not sure if they take people w/o cdl. anyways up to you but I recommend stay away from CR and stevens equally.

I wish you the best and take everything in like a sponge, get a good night sleep, don't mess around do what you are going there for training screw the rest those drivers don't be them in these sense they will use those poor previous bad driving habits. Try to ride the wave out for at least 12 months.

OMG stay away from CR England, I started my career with them and I wouldn't ask the devil work for them. I told them I was bringing the truck back because I wanted to quit, so they cut off my fuel card and tried to leave me stranded. This would have gone on my DAC report as an abandoned truck. I was one step ahead of them, I fueled up before I called them, brought the truck back and kept my DAC report clean. This type of BS is why CR England has ARMED guards at their terminals. They have SCREWED over so many drivers. STAW AWAY from CR ENGLAND

I hear so many more bad stories from CR england from there drivers compared to swift. That said neither is a good company. I almost went work for pride but after finding out the founder was in same family chose to avoid that. Why risk the headache? Personally wish government would shut some these horrible companies down force them pay hourly upon arrive at shipper & receiver.

Neither. They're both terrible companies. Prime Inc. is the best starter company hands down.

    Cverzosa5 Thanks this.
