If you live near a Marangoni Ring Tread facility, I recommend those. They use a one piece recap. No seams, glue, or staples. I want to give them a try when I wear out a set of tires and see if they’re as good as I think they are.
Who sells best price reliable retreads? Brands please.

Been running Bauer Built Michelin retreads for past 7 years, never a problem
spsauerland and exhausted379 Thank this. -
My position is bought and paid for in tears some days, they can hoist me on a retread someday.
I prefer tires that are virgin because I know you can get quite a bit out of them Before they are in need of retreading or goes into the spares pile. -
for less than 1/2 the price I always got over 80% trouble free miles out of all the retreads I ran, compared to
virgin tires, took me a while to give them an honest try, is a notable amount of difference, i'ld rather keep the money in my pocket, for other maintenance issuesexhausted379 Thanks this. -

I like Goodyear unicircle retreads. But only if the casings are my own that were ran and maintained by me. And even at that I know guys who think nothing of running crazily over curbs with their tires which is very hard on the steel belts and sidewalls. If you do that every day like it is nothing then dont bother with retreads they cant take that abuse. If you are careful with your tires and rarely curb them, always up on air pressures, go for it. Great savings to be had with retreads. But if you get lazy they will let go and make you pay...
Cat sdp, spsauerland and exhausted379 Thank this. -
Im lookin for a nice set of chinese recap steers if anybody comes across any
-
I worked at a recapping tire shop. You couldn't give me a set of recaps for free. You'd be better off buying cheap new tires around $250 each rather than recaps
JonJon78 and IndianaF150 Thank this. -
My two top of the line Bridgestone steers were $763 out the door.IndianaF150, Boondocker and spyder7723 Thank this. -
To the op, I would run Chinese virgins before any recaps.. China tires aren’t much higher than the higher end caps.. I run yoko, not the best but good for the moneyIndianaF150 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
