just got to shipper lost half day, and the shipment called for a flatbed, I have a dry van, I got screwed out of a half days wages but only a simple Tonu is offered.
I want to know if I can put a claim on their bond? If yes how do I do it?
How does one put a claim on a broker?

Am sure it's not what you want to hear but definitely no. Loads cancel and lines get crossed up all the time. Hate to say it but be thankful for the TONU. Probably came out of the brokers check.

Nope Bonds only pay line haul. It doesn't pay accessory pay like detention and TONU.

And they exclude refrigerated chicken as well for some reason. Learned that the hard way.

I took a load once from a broker that posted a load for something under 12,000 lb cause I had a one ton & 40 ft gooseneck. It was for a mini excavator. Got the confirmation & it was 10,000 lb or something... whatever it was for mini excavator model number XXXXX.
So, I drive about 40 miles only to find out the broker got the info wrong. The man ordered a removable gooseneck for a 110,000 lb track hoe.
Needless to say, I wasnt too happy & I got nothing... zero... ziltz in pay for my trouble or travel.
While I got nothing, he got plenty. In short, he knows what kind of &%#!@)*%# I think he is. -
