That agent has some of the best paying loads in trucking.

I beg to differ..while they might have some great paying loads once in a while, the shenanigans that they play has caused a lot of us to disregard any load they post anymore.

I have always said: If someone has a problem with an agent, 1- you don't have to go back into his area. 2- if you do go, you can always bounce out. 3- if you keep going into his area and staying on his board and complaining about how they run their business (then that's on you)

I had a few agents I didn't want to deal with and I would take option #2

Remember: in California a great load can come up and the first 10 trucks can turn it down just because they don't want it. The next 20 trucks can turn it down because the first 10 turned it down (there must be something wrong with the load or else one of first trucks would have taken it.

Especially in California, a very good load can find itself a long way down the board.

Everyone's experience is different, but I'm not a fan of either ATO or SIS and how they do things. DSD is great though. But then, I also take option 1 or 2 typically. Every now and then I've tried to give ATO another chance in a different area (havent been to CA in a long while), but they have disappointed me almost every time.

They have a lot of aerospace industry freight, and a lot of trade show freight. There is a huge pia factor with both segments but everyone knows this going in. Sometimes it pays enough to make the pia factor tolerable, other times it don't.

    Rickp and Razorwyr Thank this.

What's the difference between a "National Account" and a "Company Account" here at Mercer?

Nothing. Different folks use decent terms fir the same thing. It means mercer customer, not an agent customer.
Sometimes you will also see agents listing them also, especially so on freight that can be hauled by us or brokered out. My guess is that is to help get them moved and the agent will get a few bucks for it.
