So I got my CDL today. Class A and now need to look for a job. I would rather not be gone long distance. I would rather be home more often than once a week. I don't have to be home every night either though.
I am in the north Atlanta area. Anybody have any job suggestions? I have currently applied for jobs with Lazer Spot, and with PFG Milton but other options are welcome.

What part of town do you live in? Just the county if you dont mind sharing. I live in the area and am always looking at jobs so I could probably help you out. You dont want to be commuting more than about 30 minutes if you're going to be home several times per week.

Ok I live over in gwinnett, unfortunately the north side is a desert for entry level home daily jobs. Most companies have terminals on the south side. But here are some companies you can apply with Transsouth they're in Braselton, they advertise a home daily shuttle driver position, CPC is over in Jefferson, they do Walgreens, good hourly plus OT after 8. Lily Transportation in Braselton, they deliver to I think Whole Foods, had home daily positions, Cardinal Logistics does home daily out of Buford. Blue Line which delivers Little Ceasers stuff is out of Lawrenceville. Vistar in Lawrenceville does I think candy and stuff for movie theaters 1-2 day routes. Ryder and Penske have dedicated customers on the suwanee and brasellton areas. Ernst Concrete and SRM are Ready mix companies that both have plants in the Gainesville oakwood area if you dont mind class b work. Ace Hardware advertises for route drivers in Gainesville. Last but not least, Leon Farmer(Budweiser) and Northeast Sales(Miller) do home daily. Good luck buddy. I do home couple times a week but I work down in south Atlanta and the commute completely ####ing sucks. All of the places I listed ask for 1-2 years of experience with maybe a few exceptions. But go ahead and apply worst they can say is no.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
