The part where the head might be bad is where you might run into problems with volvo. I really hope it is just an unfortunate bad install on the gasket. But man did you get a good, no, a spectacular deal on the remann head, kit and the injectors. Wow.

    Lexu Thanks this.

Ok so from putting on a #### ton of heads on volvo and doing the engine i can tell you this, the only thing that will set volvo apart from any other engine is volvo has no guides on the block for the head so when you drop the head down it can only be done a certain way, other than this you also have silicon the back of the timing plate so its not the easiest thing to do, but very doable, this is where most of mistakes happen. there is only one way to leak and not very likely to leak from between the head and the block these gaskets are #### good at that, when you install it it has to be perfect straight and there is a very strick torque procedure you have to follow, this being said i have had before only once that a head came messed up from volvo could clearly see there was a crack due to metal discoloration on the sealing side of the head but somehow volvo OK d to sell it did not install returned it back, so the possibility of a bad head is there, not very likely to be mechanic error specially if the guys have rebuilt volvo engines before, very likely it could small sippage from injector harness as it is very common and it had to get removed and installed so very likely something could have happened from there so clean it up and run the truck to check. Will tell you I have rebuilt a #### ton of these and never had this issue or seen it before, some d12 will leak are really high miles from head but never seen one on d13 no matter the miles.

I did clean it and run the truck after that. And it get's wet again in the same area. It is not from injector harness. We checked multiple times to be sure.
