This may be a dumb question, but I’m wondering if anybody knows how close to Louisville you have to live to work for Jack Cooper? I live in Atlanta but if they run the road out of there would it be possible to work out of that yard and snag a southbound load to get home and take the truck home? There’s a guy that drives for Cooper that lives close to me and he takes his truck home, I see it parked in s dirt lot near my house. I know Wentzville hauls GM chassis cabs for box trucks. I’m guessing that’s a road operation too so I wouldn’t mind working out of there either.

If you you’re interested. USAL is in need of drivers in Lawrenceville.
-
Are they just running local shuttle? I don’t think hauling local loads all around Atlanta is my cup of tea...
-
They don’t haul into Atlanta. They cover everything outside of Metro. With the opportunity to go into South Carolina and help in Dixana.
-
Do they actually have a facility at the Lawrenceville rail hub or do you park the truck somewhere else? Home daily? I might give them a call Monday...
-
They have a parking area about a couple of miles away from the rail. I would think if you want to be home everyday it could be possible. Just talk with them and verify everything.....

What does USAL pay now?
Hows that L'ville terminal? I guess it's GM? -
Lawrenceville pay is a little different than what most terminals. Base start out pay is .65 pm loaded and empty it goes up to .71 with time and no damages. In Lawrenceville the routes are mostly out and back. That’s where the pay differs. They will add hourly pay plus mileage pay to some routes to make up for the traffic that you’ll deal with. When you go to another location to load the load pay goes from $5 a unit to $22 a unit.
