I don’t go far so I don’t have much to go by. I like Flying J. Wish Pilot would still use the old set up. Most were pretty darn big. Plenty of pumps. Restaurant. Had the drivers side of the building to give us some privacy. The scale was in a sensible location. Had a garage set up for the employees who tended the lot and fuel island. (Some Pilots have a wooden shed lol.) The design to me made sense. Heck I liked the TA’s that had the showers/lounge upstairs.

I have this crazy idea if I ever won a major lottery that I would build a new old school truckstop complete with fuel attendant, waitresses dressed like the old days, competent mechanics, small motel, etc. I would want the rules to be NO Mega’s, no foreign drivers, and no four wheeler travelers. But I would be sued out of business, so I’ll just save my money.

Jubitz, is actually on someones list of favorites. If they didn't sipe tires I would never go there and have not been back since their blades got bad and they wouldn't repair them.

They still had that back in 2012 which I think was the last time I’ve seen that place.

Was a long time Portland resident and I personally have never cared for this place. I’d always keep rolling down to the stops further south between Portland and Salem if I was looking to shut down around them parts. Parking way easier.

It’s OK. I like Olson’s at the 183 better. Mom and pop place and has a real restaurant. Never had a problem parking there and I think the fuel prices are a little better also.
