Hey guys, I got my own DOT number, went through Foley Carrier Services to get it. Now I'm looking to get my own Tractor, but I have a few stuff on my record that's at least a year old. I'm trying to get the heck away from Western Express. They was the only company I found at the moment that was willing to give me a chance. So now I Was wondering if you guys could recommend any companies that would take me if I get my own insurance and just do power only. I was also thinking about doing Hotshot or Expediter, but have no experience in those 2 areas.
Thanks in advance, any pointers would be helpful

Look I understand where your coming from, but I'm not scared to go after what I have my eyes set on. There are drivers out here with ROLLOVERS, HITTING CARS ON THE HIGHWAY, RUNNING PEOPLE OFF THE ROAD, DRIVING DRUNK, and can't find work until they get there own rig and insurance. My record is no where as bad as that. 1 speeding ticket doing 15 over which is a year old, 1 sliding off the road due to black ice (DIDN'T HIT ANYBODY OR ANYTHING, GOT STUCK IN THE SNOW AND HAD TO BE TOWED OUT) which is a year old as well. I know there is company's out there. Evans, & Roadrunner said they would take me once it a year old. Most of these Russian companies will too, I'm basically comparing companies and weighing my options. I'll continue to do my research until I find what makes sense to me, DOLLAR wise!
Thanks for the insight though, I won't let anyone's negative comments discourage me. Y'all could follow the chain of command and stay a company driver, you don't ever know what you can achieve until you try. I'm a man not a boy!!!

Why don't you come work over here at Western Express buddy, and be treated like a slave. If you've never driven for them, keep your comment to yourself. Thanks have a bless day

I’m not the one that has a messed up driving record buddy. Maybe you should be appreciative they gave you a chance when nobody else would. You could have been out of a career and working at Taco Bell right now.

I've noticed that some of you guys on here just talk because y'all don't have anything better to do. It don't bother me or discourage me one bit. Keep on trucking brother, I don't know any of you, we ain't friends, so do you honestly think y'all disrespectful comments would break my spirit? They say misery loves company. You guys probably work for a company, wanting to get your own truck, and leave the company your with. But Child support, your high maintenance wife, spoil behind kids, medical bills, driving school tuition loan, court cost, money spending on lot lizards, and the drugs y'all use in your spare time is draining your money so bad you can't save a penny. So when you hear another MAN is in the position to get his own truck, y'all try to fight him down by discouraging him...
Good try man, I'm way stronger than that mentally and physically.

1st off buddy, the company I was working for closed down, and I jumped at the 1st company I saw that would take me. I've had other companies like Carolina, TransAm, and couple local gig wanting to take me with my record. So Taco Bell buddy you can have that. I look up not down. I came into this trucking game to own my own truck, not stay a company driver for the rest of my life...
But like I said earlier thanks again for the insight brother.

    S M D Thanks this.
