Is running a 180* thermostat good? That what I’m currently running at the moment but I heard that cats run best around 190-205

The ones equipped with emissions crap run hotter. A standard Cat runs 180. At least my E model does.

E model calls for a 195, when I was down south I ran a 177 in mine, up here the 195 works better.
The old b models called for 180.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I live in the southeast and have 195* regulators that CAT recommends. Don't have any cooling issues either they work just fine all year round. Probably that radiator needs blowing out or maybe re-cored and the 195's they recommend would be the best way to go.
