Sometimes companies will give a 2nd chance on a ticket. For example, it doesn't snow in Tampa and no icy roads there.

And yes i think its bs also... but i was driving a tow truck on a recovery as a 22 year old. Guy rolled after a fishtail and his car was upside down in the ditch.
Cop wrote him for unsafe lane change/failing to signal.
Much smaller ticket than some alternatives.Marky84 Thanks this. -
Well, I'm not going to join the bandwagon in critiquing you. We all have done dumb ####, some of us were just lucky enough to learn from it before it bit us in the ###.
If you see the road change, you change with the road. Like you said, everything was fine, then it wasn't (paraphrase). Next time you see the road go from freshly plowed to not, you'll slow down even if you were passing someone.
I also had a learning experience this winter, was passing another truck in the snow, he sped up to pace me, and I didn't back out of it like I should have to get out of probably the most dangerous position in that weather possible. I slid, and almost took a ditch myself. Now if someone's ego messes with them because I'm passing, I let them stay ahead until they regain control of themself and back off of it again, or crash, or keep going the same speed I feel comfortable going and just follow them.
Edit: forgot to answer the question, yes people will still hire you. A guy that rolled a truck (literally right before) started working at a company with me that made over 80k a year.Last edited: May 25, 2019
