Kenan Merchant Gas Group?

Just for info the name on the cab door is the owner. You can see dedicated trucking companies with Shell, Chevron and so on the trailer but if you look on the cab , either door, you'll see the owner. It's the law.

 

Looks like deal between Thortons and BP is done. BP is buying them and Thortons has the best looking trucks in my neck of the woods. Thortons drivers are a little bit concerned what will this do to them

 

Tell those drivers not to trust BP. BP came in and bought out ARCO with a great line of goods which benefited the high ranking board members and left the regular employees out in the cold. After the board members took their money and was long gone BP started in saving money. The drivers first lost OT, then all the extra benefits, small yes but they add up. And when most of the company drivers were gone they sold the entire company. ARCO was rated back in the 80's as one of the best companies to work for, out of all types of companies and that was the entire U.S. So it might be different for BP to take other a smaller company but to me they are in it for the money.

 

Update been at Kenan for 40 days and the last two checks I brought home over 2 grand one was 3 grand gross....wish I would have been here long ago....note: I an otr.

 

Yeah ive brought home over 2k the last 2 weeks with this "mess of a company".

 

We made that 15 years ago doing gas...... so you know where some of us are coming from.

 

You brought home 2k a week 15 yrs ago as a company driver...you should be well off.

 

No complaints.... except Keenan moving in and cutting rates.....

 

Well i live in Oklahoma and Ill take 100k bringhome and decent benefits...

 

We had to put in some OT but in 1991 we could make six figures a year clear. And leaving in Las Vegas spoiled us. We were well above average and at the loading rack the talk was about stocks and investments and not where we were going to live. Yes we were lucky until ARCO sold out.
