Gas in oil of pony motor on RGN? How is this happening?

Sometimes warranty isn't worth the hassle.
Had a buddy with a Honda issue, and they told him that they wouldn't work on it outside because he couldn't get the trailer inside the shop. They wanted him to remove the engine, bring it to them and they'd do the repair and give him the engine back. Replacing the part ourselves was a little less than pulling the motor job, nevermind reinstalling it.
I absolutely would change the fuel shut off valve myself instead of yanking my Honda.
Now that it's making noise, yup it's time to yank it. But not before now...

 

I've seen those little Hondas take a #### kicking in other applications and still run. We had a guy fix some heavy cylinder scoring on a smaller Honda with like 400 grit emery cloth on a drill. Thing worked amazingly enough. Since you're relying on this engine I'd go get it repaired or replaced ASAP before that knock turns into one really loud bang.
