I'm sorry if I bother you but this is really important for me because I got a really familiar problem -
There was no need to test it I could hold the pulley and spin the impeller quite easily. I suppose if a person could not spin impeller on shaft hot water could expand it and it could spin.
-
I took my water pump off and impeller
It's really tight simply I don't want to spend money for nothing in my case the coolant temperature starting rise up when I start driving 70 miles an hour if I drive like 55 up to 60 no problem I already change the radiator belt tensioner EGR injector cups etc... I tried to figure out what is going on -
Is your truck a volvo? Have you posted your question in the volvo section. There is a lot of volvo techs that are very wise that hang out in the volvo forum. If it is volvo does it have the viscous / electric fan I have seen the wiring rub on metal brackets and cause fan speed issues but normally a code will set. I would try submerging the pump in hot water to test for empeller slipping. It wont hurt it and if its already off go for it. I would post question in a new thread.
