Funny things you have seen at truckstops

Of course, most folks who call police officers "pigs" don't have enough of those to even finish the academy, much less go out on patrol.

 

I know one officer I would maybe call a pig, and then he'd call me something and we'd both laugh. He was the one deputy who would sit up town and ######## until 2 in the morning to keep us from raising too much hell.

 

Over seen on counter. Mr Tired staggers in.

Slams his logs all over the counter. Breaks out the smokes. Waitress pours coffee. And a menu.

After a few minutes driver is working on his smoke. Asked ready to order?

"Food, here. Fast please" Ive got alot of work here.

Ok. We will give you some more time with menu.

...

What you like to order.

Food, fast, Ive got work here to do.

Continues to work on his smoke. Menu sits on the table.

Poured more coffee.

tick tock tick tock.. now the entire counter is quiet, paying attention.

Waitress comes around, what would you like?

Food, fast, Ive work to do.

We ordered for him. It was a gamble but the collective agreement was something hot, fast and on one plate so he can eat it while doing his papers and logs.

The problem was this driver was tired. Beyond tired. Not processing the life situation around him. And so he was locked in a loop.

After the food, coffee and so on with papers finished took hold he looked alot better.

The next day he was at breakfast.

Asking about a Mr driver note, keys on it left to the steering wheel and a list of stabotage on his tractor. What must have happened was a group put him into the bunk, made sure that thing is not going anywhere left the note and keys on his wheel and so on. He got a really good sleep there that nite. No one abused him.

But again being stuck in that loop from being tired. Beyond tired.

It was a good stop for him. He had a few kids he called by name on the phone eating breakfast and getting seconds.

 

more and more people parking in fire lanes, no parking zones and creating their own parking spots.. mind you folks not we are not talkin late at night when it's hope to find something..
but in the middle of the day when the places are empty....I LMFAO and then like to stick videos on YouTube. but also keeping a driver shortage way in the process showing the whole world it's no longer about quality it's about quantity..

Those truck stops in Dallas are all lousy. Hookers, people begging for money and scammers trying to scam people. Blech.

 

I actually watched a fedex driver, pulled in got fuel and washed the windshield, at the same time! then pulled up. It was so quick. I was not able to get video it was that fast.

 

One time i was at a large, crowded truckstop, and this guy wanted to wash all of his clothes, even the clothes he had on. So he went to an open shower (i don't think he paid for a shower) with his laundry bag and closed the door and took all his clothes off and wrapped a towel around his body and he went to the laundry room and put all his clothes in a washing machine, walking around naked in front of everyone except for his towel. He hanged out in the laundry room in front of everyone naked except for a towel for about an hour and a half while washing and drying his clothes. Hahaha
