Got myself a lifetime ban

I had a job before I went OTR that involved hauling rock. Would haul 24 tons from the quarries. This one loader operator always loaded us heavy. When when scaled out the Scalehouse operator was cussing us to tell the loader operator the right amount we needed loaded. After the third load I had told the Scalehouse operator he had better watch his mouth. My fourth load was overweight so instead of going back to the quarry to dump my load I dump my load of rock on the scale and asked the Scalehouse operator if my load was now the right weight. He was livid. I told him to ####off and drove off.

 

It’s not just steel mills, some aluminum places seem worse to me.

 

Yep, me too. Tyson pays the company a lot but my pay is the same. Sit me for a day or two and I will never haul for that company again.

 

Wot? Give that to me. I'll get it.

We have a little humor in related to train stuff. A building is sold with a sign "Dewey Cheatem & Howe" was it's trademark.

I probably have not been just tossed from places but probably banned from a few myself.

It takes usually one little word. Something like this ....

"Sorry you aint loading today, wont fit."

WOT!

"Did you not understand me? You aint getting this today."

That usually ends the progress that starts badly. I would have to tell the dispatcher they aint loading me. Then I hear

sometimes I wonder if this whole industry runs on.....

Go to any US steel other than Detroit, and tell them this. They won't know what your talking about.

 

Ive done enough Detriot not to care anymore, its just like any other place. In, out. Sometimes Canada. The loads got first class to south detriot distribution of narcotics to McKesson regularly and reloaded with bales back to Memphis. That improved things a little bit. But the last time I was there was with wife delivering to there 9-11 morning. We sit 5 hours near the detrioter with like 4 different routes in and out just in case.

Not a word from all the high poobahs that usually and routinely demanded just in time. They took our medicines off, then reloaded us very full and fat barely closing the doors. Straight to Connecticut on a war footing for medicines to NYC.

Yea I would be happy not to see detriot again, however a small part of me says yehaa you git moving to them people up there scratching to build something out of nothing.
