Yep just the other day at the cross roads Bryan corner, 54/83 okie country.

Fickrr pulling a wind generator blade with a Penke rental day cab, 60 gallon tanks each side.

Was kind of dressed like Eli Wallick in 'good the bad and ugly'.

Yup. Lost count of how many idiots would show up where I used to work to deliver equipment off a highboy or step deck. Jump out of their trucks in t-shirts, shorts and sandels. Funny thing is they drove right past a big sign stating long sleeves, hi-viz, CSA boots, hard hat, glasses and gloves were required.

Now the guys pulling RGN always showed up in the proper gear for the job.

I wear slide on shoes the days I am between pick up and delivery, but boots at any customers.
Some of my loads are over 2500 miles, no need to suffer through boots for 5 days.

RGN people? Never. I've never met one who didn't speak English, either.
Regular flatbed? If they have to borrow a hard hat from the guard shack you know they're not going to be wearing boots. I have seen them pick up discarded gloves from the trash can, though.
On the subject of the loaner hard hats...would you wear one that a half dozen other people had worn before you? When the sweatband was black and crusty? The guards don't clean them between users.

  9. And how many have you scene being "pink" loaner hard hat. lets the loaders know who is the nooooob

Steel toe 12" Wellingtons all day every day. My CC doesn't work, so that nice heavy boot helps keep her hammer down all day.. :cya:
