I'm not sure if this will get much advice or not but how much does one usually charge to haul freight? I'm wanting to reach out to local companies but I honestly have no clue what to say as far as rates go.
I've been using a dispatch company that has had its ups and downs but it's still early in my career. But the freight has been anywhere from $1.50 to $3.20. There is such a huge margin that I dont really know where to start when trying to branch out.
Thanks for any advice.

You can subscribe to transportation load board such as DAT. They have a feature that shows the rate for a particular lane you may be interested in.
Miroh Thanks this. -

GO BOT TRUCK, Bluedew and 24kHotshot Thank this. -
And yeah, dispatchers are only finding them one way but that works for me as I stay out 2 weeks at least before coming home. But sometimes I end up sitting while I wait for them to find me something else. -
Sounds normal. How close are you to Cincinnati?
