Bretheren! Everyone has their own style, opinions or personal things they like to have stored as food in the truck. Ive never had the luxury of a working/clean refridgerator.... give me your ideas lets hear them people! Any food thats good to have around? Preferably healthy but im open to anything. Microwavable works. I can only think of like cereal and sandwiches

We used a standard cooler in one cabinet. It is only a temporary form for immediate (As in within 72 hours) consumption of milk etc. We have learned to use water and dry milk again and it's not bad when done right but not for more than a day per mix.

A couple of dutch ovens in the truck takes 6 hours or so to cook a good meal. One comes to mind.

Mini onions as you like it, Sliced Ham as you like it. Small potatoes as you like it. And so on. Clap em in the oven and cook 6 hours or so. By the time you get round to dinnertime it's ready for about half the cost of truckstop retail if not lower. Your store bought packages allow for several meals. Alternatives are cans etc.

WOW! Really? It’s in the canned fruit aisle.

They have canned meats too. We keep tuna and chicken in the truck.
Mayo does not need to be refrigerated. It only goes bad when it gets contaminated. I buy the squeeze bottles. There’s a bunch of different types of mustards too.

If you have a microwave you can take ramen noodles or other boxed noodles and add a can of chicken and a can of veggies. I can’t remember the name brand but the corn, okra and tomatoe mix goes very well with the ramen noodles.

I also keep a few microwaveable soups ( mainly creamy tomato).

There are rice mixes and mashed potato’s that can be zapped. Some of the stuff can be gross so only buy one to experiment.

I also have an electric tea kettle. I use that for oatmeal (can be microwaved too). I don’t like the packets of flavored oatmeal. I keep honey and add some banana to it. I do have a fridge so I keep strawberries and blueberries too.

I’ll make the small microwaveable velveeta shells and cheese and mix in a can of peas and top it with parm.

I got a few cans of fruits too.

This might be the all-time worst advice ever posted on TTR.
