You should hear something. Your normal max boost is 41 psi. Because the old one had failed, it is likely it didn't make the proper boost and therefore didn't make that nice boost noise either. Now you are back to a good turbo with normal noise.

That 2.3 hr job time is for the mechanic that's been doing 4 a day 4 the last 4 yrs, c'mon.

No, it's impossible. That time is from engineering working on a brand new truck with nothing seized and everything lined up ready to go and working like a maniac. Those times are completely unrealistic and grounds for a fraudulent lawsuit in my opinion.
kubasj05, Tombstone69 and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -

l had 1 blow up like a 6 pack of T N T without making any scraping racket like most wore/out turbos do, thought it vented the block but l was pulling a 12ft. wide by 60 ft. long load of pre. stress cement T/beams and was looking to find a place to get out of hy 78 so I would't have hy shut down, l coasted to a out of buss. pawn shop, and started calling for a empty truck going back to plant on l-20 to come get my load they have to be unloaded in order and a missing truck shuts down job with crane costs, so when I opened the hood, to look at my pre/smog ISX only to find turbo in 2 parts, intake side was ok but EX. side threw fins out threw ex. pipe S curve before flex pipe started.
