BOZEMAN, Mont. — A semi-truck carrying about 133 million bees crashed Monday off the side a road, according to several media reports.

A fire department spokesperson told CBS affiliate KBZK there were about 40,000 pounds of bees on board. The truck was reportedly heading to North Dakota from California before it flipped over at the intersection of Gooch Hill Road and Durston Road in Bozeman, Mont.

    Nobody was hurt.

A fire official told KBZK that firefighters had to battle to swarms while doing their jobs.

“We went really in our full structure fire gear, including our self-contained breathing apparatus packs so kind of minimize and reduce the risk of being stung at that point to our guys," Assistant Fire Chief Brian Nickolay told KBZK.

    I don't understand 40,000 pound of bee.

We have worker, bumble bee and a occasional intruder from the deep south working on the blossom flowers If we took a path through them by mistake we just deliberately and slowly move through without swatting, fear or any of that. Believe it or not, they are busy working and don't have time for you.

Whew, sure messed up that new large car. Seems these bee loads go over a lot. I think the bees get together and plan their escape. I love the garbage can sitting there, as if to say, "this should do it",,,:biggrin_2559:
    Where's the drive axles?

Exactly what I was thinking. According to another article though...

After being uprighted, the truck was held overnight and then allowed to continue on its journey to North Dakota on Tuesday.

They have been repositioned for extreme mountain driving... In a somewhat vertical inclination.

That truck could be fixed if the right person got ahold of it... It might run down the road a little crooked but ive seen some pretty twisted frames either straighten or chopped, spliced, and sleeved then put back on the road.

That is a one truck, one driver company... An O/O... And apparently a very new one... No inspection or crash data in the fmcsa system yet.

$1 says he fooling with his phone, started going off, the tandems found some soft dirt.....Amen.

Tandems didn't just hop off the highway while the tractor is still on.

When you look down, phone, food, drink, cat, whatever, for more than about a second, you will start to pull the truck in that direction.

Those bee's aren't cheap. Somebody is wtf pissed off right now.

Seen this guy in a brand new Western Star, brand new GD reefer about 4 years ago west of Amarillo.
He was on the access road, and I guess he thought it was an on ramp. Well it hair pinned right. He went up over this berm like Evil F Knevil. His rig looked about like that one.
