There was a seagull I would see as a kid that was missing a foot and the other leg was ####ed up.
We nicknamed him “Crash landing”. He would just auger in every time he landed.
That was one tough bird.

Back in the 80's I had a dump truck I ran in the Austin area. Back then the city ran a swimming pool that was a natural rock pool called Barton springs, I would if in the area, eat lunch there. There were more string bikinis than you could shake a stick at running around that place. lol Anyway, I was sitting in my truck eating a burger and a pigeon flew right on in and wound up on the dash looking out.
I was on my bike down down at new braunsfields one morning early. I stopped and got a paper to read and rode on down to the river just as the sun was coming up. I parked and looked around pretty good, to make sure there wasn't any bums that had slept under the bridge, then commenced to reading the paper. It was not long till somebody started beating me all about my head and shoulders, scared me to death. It turned out to be a pigeon, and it didn't scare it, it wound up on my seat and made it's way up to the handle bars and sit there looking out the windshield until I got ready to leave. lolx1Heavy and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
These two were so friendly,I had to feed them.

AWWWW. Break my hearts all of you with your stories and pictures.
We had a roller storm that was pretty bad with it's tearing lightning and artillery thunder. Scary stuff. I spot a german shepard going back and forth under my roof at the work place. No business is being conducted with that kind of storm.
I cracked a can alpo , piled it on a cardboard sheet (Best could do at a moment's notice) It came in, ate the dinner sniffed me and boots finally to settle with paws crossed and eyes fixed on me as I took care of a few customers. Customers did not know the #### thing was there most of the time.
Took it home and everyone came out to the car to pet it a little. Back the car it went. To the Animal Shelter.
The strange thing is all was well until I unhooked the collar ring (Next to a tag that bore a ID number etc easily tracked) the moment that cage went click...
HHHOOOOWWWWWLLLLL
Sheesh.
Took me a month to get over it. Some of my coworkers longer than that.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
A contractor I haul for some has a big old dog, Anytime I go to his yard and back into a spot, by the time I set the brakes and open the door, there will already be a ball on my step and the dog standing there wagging his tail wanting me to throw it.
