Apparently the driver was unaware that his brakes were hot and overheated when he pulled up to the pumps.

IF the brakes were burnt on those little bitty hills I hate to see what happens when he gets out west.

Wow. I just came through there a few hours ago. Wasn’t paying attention to the plaza. I almost stopped to use restroom there too.

Ok I realize that he had hot brakes. But paper loads dont explode. For that matter we can see the paper with the outsides having been charred still there. So what did explode?

I hauled some paper rolls today. Mine did not explode. But the juice boxes I have on now......I’m not so sure.

Like I said, this is all just a guess as the heat damage is (not surprisingly) focused on the tractor(what’s left of it).
Just had another thought. If his brakes caught on fire It’s possible that fire may have spread to certain areas in the engine compartment, especially if it was his steer brakes that lit up first. The fire may have spread to other components in the engine compartment, like the power steering, or the fuel rail.Last edited: Jun 12, 2019
