I have 2 years OTR experience with vans and reefers. I would like to move into tankers as a company driver. I have family in Houston so I would like to work out of there.
Any recommendations for good tanker companies there?

Ppl always ask what's a good company or who's the best. Well unless you started the place yourself, it wont be the best.
So if you mean the highest paying company. You dont have enough experience for them. As far as the rest of them. It depends on if your looking for bulk tanker, cryo, fuel, crude, tanker distribution, LPG, food grade, etc.
There is
Linden
Hiway Transport
Wynne
Hazmat Environmental Group
Dana
Superior Carriers
Just to name a few bulk carriers
AIR PRODUCTS
PRAXAIR
MESSER GAS
AIRGAS
MATHESON
GEN OX
LGT
ARE THE CRYO COMPANIES
PILOT
LOVES (Aka Gemini)
R. E. Steward (Aka Buckeys) he really takes care of his drivers
Sun coast
J.A.M. ( they ate always hiring!!!)
TTE
Are some fuel hauling outfits
Sunoco
Enterprise
Gemini
Dupre
Goldmark
Run crude oil. This is hard work but some ppl love it.
Nalco
Dis tech
Univar
Solve chem
Brenntag
Are some of the chemical distribution places
Targa Resorces
Hercules
CW propane
Limarco
Arena Brothers
Are some of the LPG haulers
(TR & Loves has the better pay in LPG right now. But TR is about the senior drivers. And Loves has an inexperienced arsehole for the regional manager.
You can look into these places. As all of them are hiring. Take your pick some advertise 95k plus. And it makes you wonder why they can't ever fill the listing.
While others have openings because the pay is low or etc.
Could list more, but would be better to go on indeed.com and search.TheIncredibleBulk, MM71, BLANCHINCOMMAND and 6 others Thank this. -

But correct, what is a good fit for one is bad experience for another....... i once heard someone say Werner was best job out there, and i checked, he was not bleeding from his head. So i guess it was good fit for him
