That is the issue, not so much as the engine. I think they all could be good engines without. Really put a hose in your butt, then put it in your mouth and go for a run. Same thing.

Lets go for the most expensive option right off the bat.

    SMH

@jamespmack has the right first step. It may just stabilize at or just over the low mark on the stick.

my isx uses 0 oil between oil changes. I change mine ever 10000 miles. I use Mobil delvac 1300, if I use anything else it will use 1 to1.5 gal. between oil changes. it had a in frame at 1,100,00 miles. it has 467,000 on it now.

If you quit putting in a quart at a time it may not use any oil at all, let it get to the add mark before topping it off.
Then make sure your turbo is not weeping oil and your air comp is not using it either.
Like mentioned above, try a different oil too. My frame is marked delo, but the engine don't like it.

My companies fleet hasn't experienced this with the 2015 isx engines ( 100 trucks on 30k drains ) and no idle time .
12s and 13s were known for carbon packing in the rings which polished the liners leading to insane oil consumption.
Had my 13 tore down at 684k for the same issue and yep the liners were polished.
Cam and followers were flaked also but light varnish and no sludge .
Everything updated and no issues since .
Mine started guzzling oil around the 550 mark and only got worse .
    @ deveinarizona has a 12 and hasn't experienced any of this .
I think it has to with idling.

1.1 million before 1st overhaul.! That's pretty good. What year is your ISX? They were around what, about 4 years before egr.? Then all the other bs they've been forced to hang on them..

I agree, don't add any oil until it's down a gallon, or to the add mark, sometimes they find their own level and stay there.
Also agree, change the oil every 12k to 15k as many engines I drove never used oil, except when they got close to time for an oil change, they would use some oil which was a sign to do an oil change.
A restricted air filter will cause some engines to use oil.
Another thing to consider, or discover, which I've seen a few times, is a new engine starting it's life in a cold climate thatd was not worked hard enough or was idled a lot before it had any real miles on it.
The piston rings don't expand enough to properly seal or develop a wear pattern and the cylinder walls become polished.
One truck I drove that had not been properly broken in during cold weather used a gallon of oil every 500 miles like clockwork, but the leasing company just kept handing me jugs of oil and weren't interested in fixing it.

First of all, thanks everyone for the help. I really appreciate it. But like @Snowmonster said reagrding the air filter. I just changed my air filter also because it had ‘16 date on it. Do u guys think that i could have been because of my air filter or no?
