Does anyone with park smart know if the batteries in the battery box and the four that are in the frame are all connected I ask because I want to run a lead to a power inverter to the battery box just didn’t want it running off those batteries alone

6 I believe , 4 In the back in the frame in front of the fifth wheel they run the parksmart ( Electric apu) i’m just not sure if they’re tied in to the two in the battery box ? Just got the truck and I haven’t had the battery box off yet

I just got this truck a few weeks ago but it seems to be in good shape but yeah the last one I had with a parksmart work great I’d run the AC and a TV / dvd for 8 to 10 hours

If they are connected you could install a battery disconnect between them ..

I just got a new truck with Park Smart. It has Optimize Idle. So it will start truck and recharge batteries if they get low. I'm impressed so far it work good but it new. I can run inverter and fridge from Freightliner and a CPAP and I have TV and microwave plugged to power plugs all that. So far it have not cut power to inverter or electric a/c it starts engine to recharge batteries

When I was a company driver we used Park Smart and I never had an issue with it. If you weigh 600 pounds and like to crank the a/c to 40F during the summer in Phoenix you won't like it. I kept mine on low and used a large fan to blow the cool air on me and it would last for 30 hours. The batteries are connected but your truck should have a safety to prevent the batteries from completely dying so you can always have enough juice to start it. I hooked up two amplifiers to my truck along with an inverter no problems. The inverter itself should have a low level battery cutoff too.
