Hello all,
My name is Dave. I'm a former railroader (engineer for 20 years). I was fired for doing something stupid and then discovered I was bipolar. I hope to get back to doing what I love someday. (maybe after the felony drops off my record next May). I was thinking about trucking but I'm not sure about the current economic climate. As far as obtain the CDL, I don't think that will be a problem since I had to be FRA certified to do what I did AND I WAS AND STILL AM STILL GOOD AT WHAT I DO. As far as I'm concerned, I'm still certified until Nov. 2010, so I still consider myself an engineer.
So now that I've been transparent, any thoughts or comments are welcome and appreciated.
Hello, ex railroader here...
