2 year plan, need advice on where to start, when we're finally ready

So, I'll start with a little background and then move on to my question. Driving is my life. I grew up in a family of truckers. My Mother drove for 22 years, and finally retired after being an owner operator for the last 10. She drove for many companies in the beginning, Schneider, Covenant, Brugh, etc, her last company was DART. My Father drove local, first for Garret Freight, then ANR, then Yellow Freight, and ended with an early medical retirement. Last I heard, my brother was driving for Matheson. I have been a driver for school bus and charter bus, for over 17yrs, with one year doing propane delivery for Associated Petroleum Products in the middle somewhere. I upgraded my B to an A in 2011, but I was not ready to go over the road yet, still too many obligations at home. My 22 year old son also has the bug, but he screwed himself out of getting into the industry for another 2 years by some of his actions while he was sowing his oats. All that being said, I'm ready to hit the road as soon as his license is clear, and we've decided to start out as a team. Neither of us has anything holding us here. We're both done with low wages and high rents, and have decided to get rid of the stuff we don't want or need, put the rest in storage, and hit the road. We'll be able to save up much faster for what we both really want that way, and figure it'll happen faster yet, if we do it together. I am wondering where would the best place to start for us, when that time comes. We live in the Spokane, WA area. We're not complete gluttons for punishment, and would like some down time every couple of months, a decent wage, trucks with apu's, and decent benefits. We're completely aware that the wage may take a couple years, but won't accept the ridiculous. Would like to work for someone who doesn't make our head's hang down in shame too, and we want to run legal.

 

No DUI. 3 speeding tickets in a year and a half, one driving on a suspended a license. I have thought of that as well. Just know it can be a bit more difficult in some cases for a woman, especially alone..

 

I may go out on my own first, although I want to make sure I have what I need for my rig first. What are the best companies for women nowadays? I know Covenant wasn't too bad, but my mom was there quite awhile ago. Plus, they're way down in Oklahoma.
